Expand Your Consciousness: Do That Which Scares You

“If it doesn’t scare the shit out of you, you probably don’t need to be doing it.”

Simply going through the motions has never gotten anyone anywhere. If we want to take our lives to the next level and get results we’ve never had before, we have to do something different.

Stop playing it safe. Walk or cycle to work instead of driving. Take a different route. Throw a dart at a map of the world or your country and book a weekend to wherever it lands. Tell that person you’ve been meaning to tell that thing you’ve been keeping to yourself. Paint that picture, write that song, that poem, that letter. Do that thing you’ve always said “oh I could NEVER do that.” to. Start/finish that project you’ve been talking about gift months/years.

Expand your horizons, get uncomfortable. Show your ego who the boss is! Live life fully. That’s why we’re alive. To live. Not to hide away. Give yourself permission to radiate your fullness. Shine with such gusto that you fan the flames of those around you and leave a blaze of glory everywhere you touch. Let yourself know it’s ok to be awesome!

The more comfortable you get with being uncomfortable the more you will grow.

Actions you can take right now to implement this idea

– Write a list of 5 things that scare you
– Go out and do at least one of them
– Once that one is done do the next one and so on
– Enjoy the expansion of your consciousness

(hint, if you’ve been putting something off it’s likely that on some level you’re afraid of doing it)
